The City of Columbia Public Works Department has scheduled an informal Open House informational meeting concerning a two upcoming infrastructure projects: Keene Street Improvements and Ridgemont Road Bridge Mitigation. This meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 from 5:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at City of Columbia Government Center, 701 East Broadway, Columbia, MO. The meeting will take place in room 1B.
The purpose of this meeting is to present our concepts for two projects. The first includes resurfacing of Keene Street from East Broadway (Route WW) north to 1-70 Drive SE. The project also includes reconstructing the sidewalk curb ramps on this route where needed to make them compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Finally, concepts for a possible reconstruction of the intersection of Keene Street and 1-70 Drive SE will be presented.
The second project involves repairing the Ridgemont Road bridge over County House Branch, to restore its load rating to 24 tons. This bridge has structural deficiencies and is currently limited to a 5-ton load rating.
Location maps for these projects are attached.
Information and diagrams showing the design concepts will be available for public review, and City engineering staff will be present to answer questions. A Public Comment Form will be available.
We hope you are able to attend this Open House to learn about these upcoming Public Works projects. If you have any questions regarding this meeting, contact Rick Kaufmann, P.E. of my staff at 573-874-7250 or [email protected].
