With Columbia still coated in a thick layer of snow, road crews are already prepping for the chance of some more light snow this weekend.
Forecasters are calling for some light snowfall to start Friday night and linger overnight into Saturday morning. Although there will be little accumulation, the snow may make roadways a little slick, just as streets are starting to recover from the eight inches of snow that crews worked long hours to clear. The City's Street Maintenance crews salted roadways today and will have an 8-person crew overnight to monitor road conditions and react to snowfall if needed. Customers should use winter driving precautions and be cautious of areas that may be a little slick.
Customers can get more information, updates on road conditions and the City's snow management efforts at www.comosnow.com, and on the Public Works Facebook and Twitter pages.
