LEAVING THE SCENE ACCIDENT DOWNTOWN
The Columbia Police Department Traffic Unit is asking for your help in trying to locate a suspect vehicle and driver that struck a City Of Columbia John Deere Tractor that was occupied with an employee who was plowing snow on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 12:03 A.M. at 701 E. Broadway.
Officers are looking for a Silver Mercury Sport Utility Vehicle. The driver has been described as a white female, college aged with blonde hair. The attached picture was captured by the downtown cameras of a vehicle traveling on east Broadway at 12:02 A.M., a minute before the accident, matching the same description of the vehicle in the leaving the scene accident.
The City of Columbia Employee was taken to the hospital, by a Columbia Police Officer, for a cut on top of the employee's head.
