Columbia Transit will be resuming service Thursday February 6th, after winter weather shut down operations for two days. Normal bus routes will operate on Thursday, but the entire system will be on their Emergency Weather Schedule to allow buses extra time to navigate snow-packed routes. The alternative schedule runs normal routes on 60 minute loops, instead of the normal 40 minutes. Buses will depart the Wabash Station at the top of every hour, and depart their furthest route end point on the half hour.
The 102 East bus route will also be detouring stops in the Indian Hills neighborhood due to road conditions. Customers in this area can catch the bus at Ballenger and Aztec near by.
Customers are still advised to use extreme caution and to allow buses plenty of room. Delays are still possible depending on morning road conditions.
Customers can get the latest Columbia Transit information on the City's website at www.gocolumbiamo.com/PublicWorks/Transportation, through Columbia Transit's social media pages, or through the free bus-tracking DoubleMap app and website.
