COLUMBIA POLICE INVESTIGATE TWO SHOTS FIRED INCIDENTS OVERNIGHT
Columbia Police Officers responded to two shots fired incidents last night
where evidence of shots being fired was found.
On 02-04-14, at 9:38 P.M., officers were dispatched to the area of Hickman Ave. and Woodlawn Ave. in reference to reports of residents hearing several shots fired. Upon arrival they found a 24 year male who stated shots had been fired at him, but he was not hit. Several shell casings were found in the street in the area.
The suspects are described as two black males wearing dark clothing in a
newer model, light colored, Nissan sedan. Case Number 2014-001303.
On 02-05-14, at 12:44 A.M., officers were dispatched to an apartment
complex in the 2600 block of Quail Drive in reference to residents hearing
several gunshots. Officer found several shell casings outside of 2613
Quail Drive. Officers did not locate anyone who was injured or anyone
involved in the shots being fired. There is no description of any suspects in
this incident. Case Number 2014-001306.
It is unknown if the two incidents are related. Both incidents are active
ongoing investigations.
