The previous press release should have read "Collection services are anticipated to resume Wednesday February 5, if road conditions allow" and also only one "Landfill." We apologize for the error.
Due to significant snowfall predicted for Columbia Tuesday February 4, Public Works has suspended refuse and recycling collection service today. Collection services are anticipated to resume Wednesday February 5 if road conditions allow, and collection schedules will be delayed at least one day for the remainder of the week. When collection service resumes, customers are asked to place their trash in a visible and easily accessible area free of snow and ice if possible, and away from areas that could have snow dumped on it from road plows.
The landfill will also be closed Tuesday February 4 and is anticipated to reopen Wednesday February 5, if weather and road conditions allow.
We appreciate our customers understanding and patience.
