INCIDENT DETAILS:
The crash occurred as vehicle 1, a white-colored 1995 Buick LeSabre, was traveling westbound on Interstate 70 near the 131.4 mile marker. The vehicle left the roadway on the right for unknown reasons and collided with the ditch on the north side of the roadway. The vehicle became airborne and overturned multiple times before coming to final rest off the roadway in the grass. Both the driver, Tremblay, and passenger, Lewis, were ejected from the vehicle during the airborne event. Neither of the occupants was secured by a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Lewis was transported by EMS from the scene for life threatening injuries, and remains at University Hospital at the time of this release in critical condition. Tremblay was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash as a result of serious injuries sustained in the crash. There were no other vehicles involved.
