ARMED ROBBERY MCKEE STREET AND RICE ROAD
On 1/16/14 at 4:13 A.M., officers were dispatched to 404 North Keene Street, Women's and Children's Hospital, in reference to a gunshot victim. The hospital called to report a gunshot victim had been brought to the hospital by personal vehicle. The investigation revealed the white male victim, 23, was walking behind houses in the 2000 block of McKee Street to a friend's house. Victim reported unknown black male approached him armed with a handgun and demanded money. The victim turned around to run and the suspect shot him once from behind. The victim was struck by the bullet in the left shoulder. The victim reported he fell to the ground when the suspect came up to him and stole an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect fled the area in an unknown direction of travel. The victim reported he walked back to his residence. The victim has been treated for his injuries and released from the hospital. There is no further information available the investigation is ongoing.
SUSPECT:
Black male, approximately 5'7" to 5'9", wearing all black clothing and a bandana over his face. The suspect was armed with a handgun.
