-Sewer Division and Parks & Recreation equipment and employee's will be in some residential area's overnight.
-Private contractor will begin to clear the downtown area at 8:00 PM this evening while no/few cars are parked there.
-Anticipated that more crews will be in residential areas tomorrow morning after 7:00 am shift change; some crews will need to clean up priority streets as blowing snow is forecast through mid day on Monday.
-No Parking still in effect on priority routes.
-Bitterly cold temperatures and windchill has adverse effects on equipment and personnel.
-Reminder that residential curbside refuse and recycling will not occur on Monday. Commercial refuse and recycling will occur and the landfill will be open.
-Transit and Para-transit will operate on Monday. We will announce if Transit is on the Emergency Weather schedule around 5:00 am on Monday.
-Columbia Regional Airport is open. One flight to/from Chicago was cancelled today due to weather and delays in Chicago. Travelers are encouraged to check with their carrier before leaving for the airport for up to date flight status information for the next couple of days.

A quick note - while our crews are out working to make Columbia's streets passable as quickly as possible, they could not do their work without the support of our mechanic's who are also working 24/7 this weekend along a the support crew of supervisors and staff.

Thank you for your support and the resources you provide us. Again, please know we are working hard to get the priority streets passable and move into the residential streets just as soon as we possibly can. AS soon as we move into residential area's the progress map on Comosnow.com will be active.

We'll continue to update you via social media and press releases as conditions and operations change. We're also turning a wary eye to another forecast snow event on Wednesday. Hmmm ....

Unless a unexpected or dramatic change occurs, next update tomorrow morning around 7:00 am.
