Wabash Station offering bus customers a sneak peek at new proposed system at multiple on-site presentation today

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

In an effort to gain more customer feedback on the COMO Connect community project and the new proposed bus routes for 2014, Columbia Transit is hosting multiple on-site presentations today at the Wabash Station for customers.

Columbia Transit has been offering a variety of public forums and presentations to citizens and organizations around town over the past few months to collect as much public feedback as possible before any changes are made. The COMO Connect project aims to create a new bus system that will be a lot different than the current outdated system, and be more focused on customers' current and future needs as the community grows.

"We're offering the presentation at the Wabash Station so our current customers can be aware of the proposed changes and give their input as easily as possible. It's important to get the information out in a way that is convenient for people as they are boarding their bus in the morning or on their way home. Some of our most valuable input is going to be from our current customers that have been using the system for years, and we want to make sure they have the opportunity to get involved in the planning process too," says Drew Brooks, Multi-Modal Manager for the City of Columbia.

Presentations will be held at 7:40am, 12:25pm, and 4:25pm on Wednesday December 18th at the Wabash Station in downtown Columbia. Anyone can attend the presentation to learn more about the proposed changes, ask questions, and offer their feedback. More information on the COMO Connect community project is available on the city's website or at www.COMOConnect.org.
