Two projects to require sidewalk closures

Beginning Monday, December 16, at 7:00 a.m. the University of Missouri will begin removal and replacement of the sidewalk located on the south side of Locust Street between Eighth St. and Ninth St. This work will result in a closure of the sidewalk at this location.  The work should be completed and the sidewalk fully reopened by Friday, December 27, by 4:00 p.m.

Beginning Monday, December 16, at 7:00 a.m.  River City Construction, contractor for Boone County will begin building renovations at 609 E. Walnut Street.  This work will result in a closure on a portion of the sidewalk on the north side of E. Walnut St. (between Sixth St. and Seventh St.), during the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  The work should be completed and the sidewalk fully reopened by Friday, January 3, by 4:00 p.m.

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the construction area and use an alternate route whenever possible.
