With the possibility of the seasons first hint of snow, Columbia Public Works is prepared. While accumulating snow or frozen precipitation is not expected tonight, crews will monitor roadways and especially bridge decks to apply treatment if needed.
Columbia Public Works has been busy the past couple of weeks attaching plows and spreaders to trucks getting ready for winter weather conditions. In the next week or so, crews will practice their routes to ensure readiness when accumulating snow or frozen precipitation does occur.
This is also a good reminder for our customers to think about upcoming winter driving conditions and ensure you and your vehicle are in ready condition for cold weather and slick roads.
