UPDATE---FATALITY ACCIDENT, 130 MILE MARKER I-70 WESTBOUND
The identity of the victim in the I-70 crash has been confirmed as Ennis Marquis Patrick, 36, of Columbia. The confirmation was made by the Boone County Medical Examiner's Office through DNA testing. The family of the victim was notified of the confirmation.
The Columbia Police Department Traffic Unit also believes they have located the vehicle and driver who hit the victim. The Traffic Unit is awaiting DNA testing results of evidence found on the vehicle to confirm it was the vehicle.
The case is still under active investigation and no more details are available.
