FORCIBLE RAPE ON LOCUST STREET
On 10/26/13 at 5:02 A.M., officers were dispatched to a forcible rape in the 1000 block of Locust Street. The investigation revealed the female victim was asleep in her bedroom when the suspect entered the residence through an unlocked front door.
The suspect entered the victim's dark bedroom, crawled into bed with her, threatened the victim with a knife and sexually assaulted her. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction of travel.
Three roommates were home at the time of the assault. The only suspect information since the room was dark is a possible white male in his late twenties. The investigation is ongoing.
If anyone has any information about this assault or saw anything suspicious around the time of the assault in that area, please contact the Columbia Police Department or Crime Stoppers at (573)875-TIPS to remain anonymous.
