REVISED ROOTS AND BLUES TRAFFIC PLAN
The Columbia Police Department will be restricting traffic flow in the area of Broadway, Old Highway 63, and Walnut for the 2013 Roots N' Blues Festival. Old Highway 63 will be northbound only from Broadway to Walnut at the south junction. Walnut Street will be westbound only from Old Highway 63 to William Street. The changes to traffic will occur at 3:30 P.M. on Friday, September 20, 2013. Each day of the event, the traffic restrictions will begin shortly before the gates open and continue until the event is over on Sunday, September 22, 2013.
There is no event parking or pick up/drop off areas on Walnut Street or Old Highway 63. There will be handicapped parking at the Riechmann Pavillion at 2300 East Walnut Street. If you are not planning on attending the festival, please try to avoid the area to cut down on congestion.
A map is attached to help explain the restrictions and the flow of traffic. Please be patient and give yourself plenty of time to get through this area during the Roots N' Blues Festival.
