Burglary/Assault on Walnut

On 8/22/13 at 3:11 A.M., officers were dispatched to a burglary in the 1200 block of E. Walnut Street.  The investigation revealed the female victim was asleep in her apartment when a male subject rolled over onto her. The victim woke up and saw a male leaving the apartment. The suspect entered through an unlocked door. The victim described the suspect as a male with a light complexion, possible Middle Eastern descent, with a very thick accent, around 5'7", with a thin build and short brown hair. The victim did not know the suspect. The suspect description in this case is similar in two prior cases from 7/21/13 and 7/26/13.  The investigation is ongoing.

Ensure all doors and windows are secure

Leave ample exterior/interior lights on, or use timers

Give the residence the appearance that someone is home
