COLUMBIA POLICE ARREST BURGLARY SUSPECT
On 08/10/13, at 4:20 P.M., officers were dispatched to 5600 block of Majestic Circle in reference to a burglary in progress. The victim of the burglary was able to provide a description of the suspect. The suspect was a mixed raced male, tall, skinny, with long afro style hair, wearing a gray shirt and shorts.
On 08/13/13, at approximately 8:30 A.M., the suspect was seen in the area of the 4900 Block of Thornbrook Ridge by an off duty law enforcement officer. The suspect was identified as Zachary M. Smith, 20, of Columbia Missouri. Smith admitted to the burglary in the 5600 block of Majestic Circle Drive and had property from the burglary in his possession.
Smith was arrested for First Degree Burglary, bond amount to be set.
