Arrest Made In The Armed Robbery At The Forum Break Time

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

ARREST MADE IN THE ARMED ROBBERY AT THE FORUM BREAK TIME

On 5/8/13 at 1:15 P.M., Investigators arrested Phillip J. Masters, 32, for robbery in the first degree and armed criminal action with a to be set bond. The robbery was committed at 1:33 A.M. on 4/26/13 at 1410 Forum Boulevard, Break Time. The investigation which lead to the arrest of Masters:

1.) On 4/26/13 at 7:13 A.M., officers were called to the 1900 block of Jackson Street in reference to a man slumped over the steering wheel of a gold minivan. Officers arrived on scene and found Masters behind the wheel of the vehicle. Masters was transported to the police station for a driving while intoxicated investigation but was released without an arrest.

2.) On 4/26/13 at 12:54 P.M., officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Radcliffe Drive in reference to a resident finding a black handgun, black knit cap, and black t-shirt wrapped up in a dark sweatshirt next to the resident's mailbox. These items were taken into police custody and placed into evidence.

3.) On 5/8/13, investigators contacted Masters roommate, who was missing his handgun which investigators recovered near the mailbox on 4/26/13 in the 1500 block of Radcliffe Drive.
