Crews, numbering about 26, are out and plowing and treating the 1st and 2nd priority routes. With thunder snow falling and winds reducing visibility - crews are not able to keep up with the rate of snowfall.
We will continue on the 1st and 2nd priority routes until clear and passable. It is anticipated that we will be into some residential areas on Friday afternoon.
If you do not have to travel today - don't. City, County, and State roads are all snow covered - snow is falling at a heavy rate - visibility is reduced significantly.
If you are on the roads, buckle-up, slow down, and carry an emergency kit.
We continue to update our efforts on our Facebook and Twitter pages -
