City buses start service on regular schedule, adjust as weather progresses

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Current road conditions allow the Columbia Transit route schedules to run regularly. Riders should allow for minor delays as weather worsens. As road conditions deteriorate, Columbia Transit, will evaluate and switch to the Emergency Weather Schedule when necessary.

Road conditions will be monitored throughout the day. Updates will be communicated via press release, the Columbia Transit Facebook page (www.facebook.com/ColumbiaTransit) and Twitter account (@Columbia_MO_Bus). If riders have concerns or questions they can contact Columbia Transit customer service at 573-874-7282 or through Facebook or Twitter.

While running on the Emergency Weather Schedule, buses will depart from the Wabash on the hour and from designated time-points on the half hour. Riders are urged to allow extra time for their commute as our bus operators reduce speed for safety during slick, snowy conditions.

Designated time-points for each route are as follows:

101 North Loop : Oakland Junior High

101 South Loop : Bethel Street & Diego Drive

102 North Loop: Smiley Lane & Range Line Rd.

102 East Loop : Indian Hills

103 West Loop: Columbia Mall

103 NE Loop: Gerbes Paris Road

104 West Loop: Hy-Vee on Broadway

104 Southeast Loop: IBM Lemone Industrial Blvd.

105 Commuter: Transfer with 101 Loop on the half-hour

107 FastCAT: University of MO Hospital, running on 30 minute headway rather than 15
