[Update: Location Name Change] The church where the meeting will take place has changed its name to Higher Ground Church, same address: 2900 Barberry Ave.
------
The City of Columbia Public Works Department has scheduled a second informal open house meeting concerning the Primrose Drive traffic calming project. This public interested parties meeting will be held Monday, Feb. 11, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Higher Ground Church, 2900 Barberry Ave.
The goal of the project is to calm traffic on Primrose Drive between Stadium Boulevard and Sunflower Street. Primrose Drive is No. 4 on the 2017 Neighborhood Traffic Management Program Priority List.
The first interested parties meeting for the project took place Oct. 2, 2018. The purpose of the second meeting is to present design concepts for the installation of traffic calming measures including speed tables. City engineers will be available to answer questions and listen to public input.
Construction is currently planned for summer 2019 following the City's public involvement process.
