As a founding member and past President of the International Oak Society, Guy has decades of experience on this interesting topic. Understanding Oak Hybridization - The hundreds of species of oaks divide along several lines into interfertile breeding groups, further complicated by anemophilous pollination and protandry. We will explain the mechanisms, potentials, and limitations of oak hybridization in understandable terms, and present some promising hybrid oak cultivars.

Minimum age - 3 years old by first class. Children will be placed in class levels 1-6 by aquatic staff according to their age and previous swim experience. If your child has taken lessons with us previously, please give this information at time of registration to insure proper class placement. Cardio/Strength Training Orientation

This one-hour class is designed to instruct members on how to utilize the Cardio/Strength Training Zone equipment. Certified staff will instruct proper techniques for using equipment as well as muscle groups being utilized. Training goals, safety, and exercise tips will also be available. Minimum age requirement for 2nd floor equipment (excluding track) is 14 years of age without parent. 12-13 year olds must take orientation class and have parent supervision. Pre-registration is required.

ROC 7K Trail Run - 107300

ROC 7K Trail Run

Start your New Year with Rhett's Outdoor Challenge and enjoy a morning on Rhett's Run. The ROC 7k Trail Run takes racers through the scenic twists and turns along this hilly, well maintained, single track course. All participants will receive a finisher item and post race snack once they've completed their run. This event will include chip timing, age group rewards, and volunteer support and aid stations on the course.

Advance registration required. Location: Meet at Antimi Shelter at Cosmo Park
Shirt sizes are guaranteed for those registered prior to 1/12/18.

Postpone date in case of weather is 2/3/18.

Weather Policy: In the case of inclement weather, the event will be postponed as long as possible for the weather to pass. If the event is not possible, the event will be cancelled and participants will be allowed to pick up their finisher items at the Gentry Building at 1. S. 7th Street in downtown Columbia the Monday following the event. No refunds will be issued if the event is cancelled due to inclement weather.
