The City of Columbia Public Works Department has scheduled an informal Open House informational meeting concerning upcoming downtown sidewalk construction projects. This meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 5:30P.M. to 7:00P.M. at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway, Columbia , MO. The meeting will take place in the first floor conference room 1A.
The purpose of the meeting is to present design concepts for the Community Development Block Grant sidewalk projects, which include the following:
1) 6th St. Alley entrance between Broadway and Walnut, east side of 6th St. only.
2) 7th and Locust crosswalk across south leg of intersection only.
3) 7th St. Sidewalk east side only, from Broadway south to alley.
4) 6th and Cherry crosswalk across west leg of intersection only.
5) Locust St. Sidewalk north side only, from 8th Street to 9th Street.
6) 7th and Elm crosswalk across north leg of intersection only.
Construction of these projects is currently scheduled to begin in 2013.
Information and diagrams showing the preliminary design concepts will be available for public review, and City engineering staff will be present to answer questions. A Public Comment Form will be available. Your input will be considered as the design is developed.
