Columbia Public Works announces that lane restrictions and closures will take place the week of September 17 as part of the East Sidewalk Phase III project.
From Monday, September 17 through Friday, September 21, sidewalk replacement along Locust near Lee Elementary School will require narrow driving lanes and the closure of several parking spaces.
On Wednesday, September 19, starting at 8:00 am, one westbound lane of Broadway, from about 600 feet east of William Street to William Street will be closed and the northbound lane of William will be narrowed to allow sidewalk ramp replacement to occur. The lane closure is scheduled to be completed by 5:00 PM the same day.
Motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians are urged to find alternative routes and use caution around the construction areas.
All work start and completion dates are weather dependent.
