Columbia Police investigate shots fired with injury near the 1500 block of Raleigh Drive, July 16

(COLUMBIA, MO) - On Saturday, July 16, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Columbia Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Raleigh Drive in reference to a report of shots fired.

The report was made to Boone County Joint Communications by deputies with the Boone County Sheriff’s Office. Upon arriving, officers located an adult male who had sustained injuries that were not life-threatening. He refused medical treatment on the scene.

Officers also found evidence that the residence had been damaged by apparent gunfire.

No suspect information is available at this time.

This is an ongoing investigation being conducted by the Department's Criminal Investigations Division. More information may become available at a later time.
