Columbia Police responded to a reported home invasion on Tuesday, Feb. 23, at approximately 2:45 a.m. in the 1100 block of Madison Street.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim. He reported that at approximately 2:30 a.m. three Black males and one Black female entered the residence. The victim reported that he heard a loud banging at the front door. He reported that when he looked outside he observed one suspect holding a firearm while another suspect was attempting to kick the front door.
The victim reported the suspects then made entry into the residence. He reported that the suspect who was holding the firearm struck him a few times with a pistol while the other suspects demanded cash from the victim.
The suspects left the residence in an unknown direction of travel with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The victim reported all the suspects were wearing face coverings. He described one of the males as being approximately six feet three inches and wearing eyeglasses, but he was unable to provide any further descriptions.
There were no further injuries reported.
