(COLUMBIA, MO) - On Monday, July 9th 2018 at 10:20 PM, units from the Columbia Fire Department were dispatched to 308 Mohawk Ave. for a residential structure fire. The first crew arrived approximately six minutes later and found active fire in the structure. Crews performed an aggressive interior attack and had the fire under control in approximately 10 minutes. A total of seven fire units responded and no injuries were reported.
The Columbia Fire Department Fire Marshal's Office conducted an on scene investigation and determined the fire was suspicious in nature. The Columbia Police Department is actively working the case with members of the Fire Marshal's Office. Damages are estimated at $50,000.
