A 9-person plow crew is scheduled to report at noon, April 1 for snow operations. Crews will focus on Designated Snow Routes. Less than 2 inches of snow is currently expected beginning sometime early afternoon.
"Some snow will likely melt at first, but pavement temperatures will probably drop below freezing during the afternoon, meaning spotty slick conditions can exist," Public Works Engineering Manager Richard Stone said.
Motorists are urged to drive with caution today and tomorrow morning as a refreeze is possible resulting in continued slick conditions into Monday morning.
