[Updated] Intermittent entrance, exit closures scheduled for downtown parking garages Feb. 8-16 (The garages will remain open.)

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Update Details: Equipment installation was completed at the Short Street Garage. Crews will work on the 8th & Cherry parking structure next. Work will be performed Tuesday, March 6th from 6PM to 11PM. During this time, the parking structure will be closed to all but the Tiger Hotel valet parking and those with reserved spaces.  Each exit/entrance to the parking structure will be closed for 2 1/2 hours to allow the installation of the loops and the application of the sealant.

While the entry lane is worked on, the exit lane will be open for vehicles entering and exiting the parking structure and vice versa.

Those with permission to utilize the parking structure should take caution and be aware of other vehicles entering and exiting the garage as there will only be one lane open for use at a time.

Update Details:
Equipment installation was completed at the Fifth & Walnut and 10th & Cherry garages. Crews have moved on to Short Street Garage. Work is scheduled to be completed by Feb. 16. While both the entrance and exit lanes will be closed at the Short Street Garage, temporary diversion lanes have been created to still allow access for our customers. Motorists are advised to follow signage and cones to make their way around the closed lanes. The garage will remain open.
