Columbia Parks and Recreation is planning two different Easter egg hunts to celebrate the upcoming holiday.
The annual Easter EGGstravaganza, a free egg hunt at Douglass Park for kids 12 and under will be held from 12 to 1:30 p.m. on April 7. Three hunts divided by age will start at 12:45 p.m. Kids will also be able to enjoy activities such as face painting, coloring, and games. For more information, please call 874-7460 or log onto www.GoColumbiaMo.com.
A Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for the evening of April 5 at Riechmann Pavilion in Stephens Lake Park. The Flashlight Hunt costs $7 per child with different check-in times: ages 3-5 at 7:30 p.m.; ages 6-7 at 7:45 p.m.; and ages 8-10 at 8 p.m. Registration is required, with a deadline of April 2.
The Flashlight Hunt is planned in collaboration with Mizzou's Parks, Recreation and Tourism students. Funds from the event help pay for other family-oriented events throughout the year.
Call Columbia Parks & Recreation at 874-7460 to register or visit www.GoColumbiaMo.com.
