Columbia Police detectives arrested Sheri Nicole Williams, 37, of Columbia in relation to today's shooting in the 5500 block of Volunteer Drive.
Through the investigation detectives learned Williams entered the residence, brandished a firearm, and shot the victim before fleeing the area. Williams and the victim were in an intimate relationship. Officers located Williams and the vehicle she fled in the 5200 block of Clark Lane. Williams was arrested at 7:32 a.m. for Felony Armed Criminal Action, Felony Domestic Assault in the First Degree, and Felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon with bonds to be set by the Court.
The male victim, 29, remains in serious condition at a local hospital. Detectives do not believe any suspects are outstanding in this case.
