Columbia Police officers have identified the pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle on U.S. 63 near Route B last night as Rocky Salvador, 34, of Columbia. Salvador was walking northbound on U.S. 63 near Route B when he was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle, believed to have been pulling a white, 24-foot camper, left the scene after striking Salvador.
A photo turned over to the Columbia Police [and attached] shows what may be the back of the camper aforementioned. The camper is believed to be a white "Dutchman" 24-foot camper. If anyone was in the area at the time of the crash and may have seen a camper matching this description, or has any other information related to this incident, they're asked to contact Officer Nathan Turner at (573) 874-7652. They may also call CrimeStoppers at (573) 875-TIPS (8477) to remain anonymous.
