UPDATE DETAILS: The work originally scheduled for Sept. 11-17 has been rescheduled for Oct. 9-15, resulting in a lane shift and sidewalk closures.
Beginning Monday, Oct. 9 at 7 a.m., Professional Contractors & Engineers plans to begin installing a new drive approach and remove an existing one in conjunction with a new parking lot construction project at 1803 W. Broadway. This will result in a lane shift on Broadway. This lane shift will close the westbound lane and shift it to the center turn lane during daylight hours. There will also be two sidewalk closures on the north side of Broadway during the work. The work associated with this lane shift is scheduled to be completed by Sunday, Oct. 15.
Motorists, nonmotorized transportation users and pedestrians are urged to use extreme caution in the work zone and use an alternate route if possible.
Professional Contractors & Engineers is a contractor working for Shelter Insurance with work permit approved by the City of Columbia.
