Columbia Police officers responded to 1205 Rangeline Street, Suite D, at 11:59 p.m. yesterday in reference to shots heard. Boone County Joint Communications advised officers callers reported someone had been shot.
Upon officers' arrival they located a male victim, 47, with a gunshot wound. Another male victim, 42, with a laceration to his head was also located. Both victims were transported to a local hospital by Emergency Medical Services for evaluation and treatment of their injuries.
Officers located shell casings in the area and observed property damage to a wall of the business from the gunfire. There were no further injuries reported and the amount of property damage is unknown at this time. The investigation is on-going.
