On 9/1/17 at 1: 21 a.m., officers were dispatched to a shot heard incident with a possible gunshot wound victim in the 1000 block of Claudell Lane.
Officers made contact with a 19-year-old female victim with a non-life threatening injury. The investigation revealed the victim was standing on the west side of the building with friends and family dancing and drinking when she heard what she thought was a firework and she realized she had been shot. The victim and witnesses did not see anything suspicious or hear anything suspicious prior to the noise.
The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. Officers searched the area and did not locate any shell casings or damage to any property. The investigation is ongoing.
