Columbia Police officers arrested Da'jon Jermaine Gully, 19, of Columbia today in relation to the shots fired last Wednesday, 8/23/17, in the 1200 block of Grand Avenue.
Through the investigation, Gully was identified as the male suspect on foot that began firing at a vehicle that was traveling in the area. An occupant of the vehicle then returned fire. Officers located several shell casings in the area. There were no reported injuries or property damage as a result of the fired rounds. The occupant(s) of the vehicle have not been identified at this time; the investigation is on-going.
Gully is a convicted felon. Gully was arrested on 8/28/17 in the 600 block of East Broadway at 2:05 p.m. for Felony Armed Criminal Action, Felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Felony Unlawful for Certain Persons to Possess Concealable Firearm with bonds to be set by the Court.
