Columbia Parks and Recreation's Harmony Bends Disc Golf Course has earned the ranking of the No. 1 disc golf course in Missouri and the No. 2 disc golf course in the world, according to DGCourseReview.com.
Harmony Bends is Columbia's newest 18-hole disc golf course, located at Strawn Park, 801 N. Strawn Road. The course was completed in 2016 and is one of the four disc golf courses in Columbia that is used to host the Mid-America Open Disc Golf Tournament.
DGCourseReview.com features more than 7,000 disc golf courses from around the world in their database. A disc golf course must receive more than 10 reviews to be eligible for state rankings and more than 20 course reviews to be eligible for the world rankings. Harmony Bends currently has an average rating of 4.90 out of a possible 5.0 by 21 disc golf course reviewers, which places it as the No. 2 course in the world.

Selah Ranch - Lakeside is a pay-to-play course; whereas, Harmony Bends is free to play. Ratings and rankings are subject to change as new reviews are posted.
Harmony Bends was designed by world-renowned disc golf course designer John Houck whose stated goal was to make Harmony Bends the number one disc golf course in Missouri and one of the top 10 courses in the country.
The development of the course was funded by the Parks Sales Tax and the Columbia Convention & Visitor Bureau's Tourism Development Fund. A second phase of development is scheduled in 2020. The details of the second phase are yet to be determined, but additional parking will be included.
