[Update] Eastbound Bernadette Drive on schedule to open at 3 p.m.

(COLUMBIA, MO) - UPDATE DETAILS: Crews plan to open the road at 3 pm today, weather permitting. The damage and subsequent repair was more extensive than initially thought. New concrete has been poured and sawed and crews are awaiting the final curing process.


Previous Update (July 12, 2017)

UPDATE DETAILS: While crews plan to finish the work on repairing the pavement buckle today, some lane restrictions may remain in place for an additional 24 hours as a precautionary measure.


Original Press Release (July 11, 2017):

Due to a "pavement blow up" in the eastbound lanes of Bernadette, just east of Stadium Blvd (MO 740), the eastbound lanes of Bernadette are closed. Columbia Public Works Street Division crews will begin repairs at 7:00 am on Wednesday, July 12. Repairs are expected to be completed by the end of the day on Wednesday.

Lane drops on Bernadette and Stadium Blvd are in place and have been coordinated with MoDOT. Motorist are urged to find alternate routes and use caution in the area.
