Beginning Monday, June 12 at 7 a.m., Emery Sapp & Sons plans to begin installing concrete widening along the south edge of Columbia Gorge Parkway, weather permitting. This work is related to the construction of a new public school. This will result in a closure of the eastbound lane on Columbia Gorge Parkway between Rolling Hills Road and Pride Mountain Drive. The work associated with the closure is scheduled to be completed by Friday, June 16 at 5 p.m., weather permitting.
Motorists, pedestrians and nonmotorized transportation users are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone and use an alternate route if possible.
Emery Sapp & Sons, a contractor for Columbia Public Schools, has a work permit approved by the City of Columbia.
