Update Details: The work on the south side of Rollins Street between Missouri Avenue and Hitt Street has been extended until May 26 (previously May 24), weather permitting. The work on the corner of Conley and Tiger has been completed.
ORIGINAL PRESS RELEASE (5/8/17):
Columbia Public Works announced on Monday, May 8, that Street Division crews plan to do repair work on Rollins Street as well as the intersection of Tiger Avenue and Conley Avenue, May 15-24, weather permitting.
Crews plan to repair a concrete panel located in the southwest corner of Tiger and Conley from May 15 to May 18, weather permitting. This will restrict the south bound lane on Tiger Avenue. Traffic on Conley should be unrestricted except for the right turn lane at Tiger Avenue.
Crews also plan to repair some curbs and concrete slabs on the south side of Rollins Street between Missouri Avenue and Hitt Street. The westbound lane of Rollins will be closed but the eastbound lane should remain open. This work is scheduled to be completed by 3 p.m. on May 24, weather permitting.
Motorists, pedestrians and nonmotorized transportation users should use extreme caution in the work zone and use alternate routes. Flaggers will be present to assist motorists. Minor delays are expected.
