Columbia Parks and Recreation is offering the opportunity for the public to provide input on planning for the restoration of the MKT Trail corridor. Restoration work is needed as a result of work completed for the City Sewer Utility's Flat Branch Sewer Project.
Parks and Recreation will host a drop-in meeting from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Jan. 25 at the Daniel Boone Regional Library, 100 W. Broadway.
Park planners will discuss proposed enhancement objectives for trailside restoration areas north of Stadium Drive to the Grasslands trail connector. Funding for native plant materials will be provided by the City's Sewer Utility. Columbia Parks and Recreation Department will serve as project managers.
Online trailside restoration comments can also be made on SpeakUpComo.com. For more information, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 573-874-7460.
