Suspicious death investigation in the 1800 block of Kathy Drive

Columbia Police officers were dispatched at 3:17 p.m. to the 1800 block of Kathy Dive today in reference to a gunshot wound.

Upon officers' arrival they located a deceased male with an apparent gunshot wound inside a residence in the area. There were at least two other occupants inside the home when officers arrived; these individuals have been detained for questioning. At the time of this release, Columbia Police detectives are working to obtain a search warrant for the residence so detectives, officers, and the Crime Scene Investigator can enter the residence to process the scene. The investigation is on-going.
