Alley between Broadway and Walnut scheduled for emergency closure, Nov. 10-11

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Columbia Community Development announced an emergency closure of the alley between Broadway and Walnut Street (east of Tenth Street) for Nov. 10-11.

Beginning Thursday, Nov. 10, at 7 a.m., N.W. Industries plans to begin removing and replacing a sewer lateral that will close the alley. The work associated with the closure is scheduled to be completed by Friday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m., weather permitting.  

Traffic control measures will be installed. Motorists, nonmotorized transportation users and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone and use an alternate route whenever possible.

N.W. Industries, LLC is a private contractor.
