Neighborhood Park Fun Day

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Columbia Parks and Recreation is planning the next Neighborhood Park Fun Day, from 6-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at Indian Hills Park, 5009 Aztec Blvd. The park serves the East Strategic Plan Neighborhood.

Neighborhood Park Fun Days are designed to bring together the residents who live in the area of the parks and provide recreational opportunities. Parks and Recreation staff will be available with a variety of activities and games.

GetAbout Columbia staff will be at the event to offer minor bicycle maintenance, such as adding air to tires and adjusting cable and brakes. The event will also feature a demonstration of disc golf, provided by George Smith from Show Me Disc Sports.

These events are free and no registration is needed. Residents are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket and food.

The last Park Fun Day of the year will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on Oct. 26 at Albert-Oakland Park, 1900 Blue Ridge Rd.
