The Public Works Department announced on Monday that Capital Paving, a subcontractor for the City of Columbia, has rescheduled the overlay of sections of Conley Road for this evening Sept. 26, weather permitting. The work is scheduled to take place in the evening hours. Crews from the Public Works Street Division plan to re-stripe the road on the following morning, Sept. 27, weather permitting.
Motorists, pedestrians and nonmotorized transportation users should use caution in the work zones to protect themselves and the safety of workers. Once the street is overlaid, traffic may drive on the asphalt almost immediately.
