The City of Columbia Public Works Department announced Thursday that Seth Paul Excavating plans to replace an existing sewer tap near 600 Mary St. on Sept. 27. This will result in a lane closure on the northbound lane of Mary Street between East Sexton Road and East Worley Street. The work is scheduled to be completed between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., weather permitting.
Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone and use an alternate route whenever possible.
Seth Paul Excavating is a private contractor that applied for and received a construction permit from the City of Columbia.
