LOCATION: Paris Road/Route B southbound & East Brown Station Road

INCIDENT DETAILS:

The collision occurred as the Columbia Police Department vehicle was making a left turn on a green light from Brown Station Road onto Paris Road/Route B southbound. As driver 1 reached the south edge of the intersection, the vehicle struck the pedestrian who was walking east to west and failed to yield to the crosswalk light on Paris Road/Route B on the south side of the intersection. The pedestrian struck the driver's side of the vehicle. The pedestrian sustained a minor injury to her elbow and refused transport to a hospital for evaluation.

 

The investigation is on-going.
