Celebrate National Park and Recreation Month at the "Fitness is Fun" Family Fun Fest from 6 to 8 p.m. on July 20 at Cosmo Park. This month:
Fitness is Fun, sponsored by the ARC
The event will be full of fun activities, inflatables/bounce houses, games, face painting, tons of ways to stay fit and active, as well as demonstrations from kids involved in Ohana Sisters Dance Crew, Flipz USA Gymnastics, Eagle Elite Cheer and Columbia Parks and Recreation Tae Kwon Do.
Food trucks on site will include The Big Cheeze, Lilly's Cantina, Kona Ice, Central Dairy and StreetDogs Hot Dog Cart.
Kids will also have the chance to check out a fire truck from the City of Columbia, an ambulance from University Hospital and the Daniel Boone Library's Bookmobile.
The Fun Fests feature a new theme each month and offer free entertainment for the entire family such as music, special performances, art activities, bounce-houses, hands-on activities, balloon animals, face painting and fun for all ages.
