Homicide in the 2900 block of Leeway Drive

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

At 6:48 a.m., Columbia Police officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of Leeway Drive in reference to a cardiac arrest. Upon officers' arrival they located a male victim who was later pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

At this time, the Columbia Police Department is investigating this case as a homicide. The case is currently in the early stages and therefore, many interviews have yet to be conducted. As a result, the manner of death and the identity of the victim is being withheld until later in the investigation.
