Columbia Utilities announced Friday that the Storm Water Division plans to replace a deteriorated storm drainage pipe on the north side of East Broadway between 10th and Hitt streets. This work is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, June 22, weather permitting.
This work is in preparation for the installation of a new tree planter with pervious pavement later this summer. Should weather delay the start, the work will begin as soon as possible after June 22. It is expected to take three days to complete.
This project is being coordinated between the Public Works Department and Columbia Utilities so that the drainage pipe work can be completed prior to mill and overlay on Broadway scheduled for June 27.
